About this policy
This policy applies to the CalDaily mobile app, website, and related services. In this policy, "CalDaily," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the provider of those services.
Information we collect
- Account information: account identifier, display name, and email address when provided through registration or Sign in with Apple.
- Profile and body information: date of birth, sex or gender selection, height, weight, body fat percentage, activity level, measurement units, body goals, and goal dates.
- Food and fitness records: food entries, nutrient values, meal templates, workouts, exercise sets, duration, distance, intensity, calorie estimates, weight entries, and user-created foods, exercises, templates, and notes.
- Subscription information: product identifier, purchase history, entitlement status, renewal or expiration information, and restore status. Apple processes payment details; CalDaily does not receive or store full payment card details.
- Device, session, and security information: app installation or device identifier, device name, platform, app version, IP address, user agent, session status, and last access information used for sign-in, synchronization, security, and support.
How we use information
- To provide daily calorie balance, body goal progress, food logging, workout logging, weight and body-fat trends, and statistics.
- To synchronize registered-user records across the app and CalDaily services and keep preferences such as measurement units consistent.
- To authenticate users, maintain sessions, protect accounts, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot reliability issues.
- To verify purchases, restore subscriptions, provide Premium entitlements, and understand subscription performance.
- To comply with applicable laws, platform rules, and security requirements.
Apple Health and health data
Apple Health integration is optional and requires your permission. When enabled, CalDaily requests read access to workouts, weight, and body fat percentage so it can update calorie balance, workout history, body trends, and goal progress. CalDaily requests write access to nutrition and workouts so logged meals and completed workouts can be saved to Apple Health.
For registered users, health and fitness records used by CalDaily may be synchronized with CalDaily's servers so the app can provide account-based history and features. Apple Health permissions can be changed at any time in Apple Health or iOS Settings, and health sync can be disabled in CalDaily.
CalDaily does not use health or fitness data for advertising, marketing, cross-app tracking, or data brokerage, and does not sell personal health data.
Data sharing
We share information only as needed to operate the Services, comply with law, or complete a user-authorized integration. This can include:
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and Apple Health features selected by the user.
- RevenueCat: subscription purchase history, product and entitlement status, and the CalDaily user identifier used to validate and restore Premium access and provide subscription analytics.
- Infrastructure and support providers: service providers that host, secure, maintain, or support CalDaily under appropriate contractual and security obligations.
- Legal and safety disclosures: authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, CalDaily, or the public.
CalDaily does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for third-party targeted advertising. CalDaily does not display third-party advertising.
Data retention
We retain account and service data while it is needed to provide CalDaily, maintain security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and account status. When an account deletion request is completed, account-linked data is deleted or de-identified unless retention is required by law, security, fraud prevention, or an unresolved transaction.
User choices
You can update profile information, change measurement units, manage connected services, control Apple Health permissions, restore or manage subscriptions, export eligible records, and request account deletion through the app. You can also contact us about privacy rights available in your country or region.
Subscriptions
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and managed in CalDaily through RevenueCat. CalDaily receives purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock Premium features, restore purchases, and provide subscription analytics. Subscription billing, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the applicable store and our Terms of Service.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should also protect their devices and account access.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as CalDaily and applicable requirements change. We will update the date above and provide reasonable notice of material changes through the app or this website.
